Lindie VanAntwerp is the Shawnee Forward Ambassador of the Month

We love recognizing those individuals in our community who consistently make our world a better place. Lindie VanAntwerp is the Ambassador of the Month for Shawnee Forward. Lindie has provided a bright smile and cheer to our monthly meetings, ribbon cuttings, grand openings, after-hours events, and volunteers her time in many other activities. Thanks for making Shawnee better, you really are making #ShawneeProud.


Lindie VanAntwerp is a Cherokee Nation member and the newest addition to the Citizen Potawatomi Community Development Corporation (CPCDC). Born and raised in Shawnee, she takes pride in ensuring the client experience with CPCDC is second to none. A world traveler, her journey has led her to a profound appreciation for her heritage and a passion for Indian Country, its history and the growth of Native enterprises today. She served as Gallery Docent while employed by the Oneida Nation of New York which broadened her knowledge of Native American art and mediums. Perhaps her favorite experience, she was cast to portray her ancestors in “The Trail of Tears: Cherokee Legacy,” a documentary featuring the likes of Wes Studi, James Earl Jones, James Garner and Wilma Mankiller. She is a graduate of Rose State College, earning her Associate in Arts degree and plans to attend the University of Oklahoma in the fall. In her free time, she enjoys her family, a good adventure, living a healthy lifestyle and saving animals great and small.
