Resolution of Shawnee Forward

A resolution in support of Shawnee Public Schools “Shine Bright 2” Bond election to be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

WHEREAS, Shawnee Forward is a business coalition committed to economic development in the greater Shawnee area; and

WHEREAS, Shawnee Publics Schools is the largest district in the greater Shawnee area; and

WHEREAS, a robust, quality education system is one of the most important factors to new and sustained economic development in the region; and

WHEREAS, Shawnee Public Schools has been a good custodian of public funds and an invaluable partner in advancing economic and workforce development initiatives;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SHAWNEE FORWARD:

That Shawnee Forward formally supports the approval of the Shawnee Public Schools “Shine Bright 2” Bond Election and encourages its members and the citizens of Shawnee to do the same, for the advancement of Shawnee Public Schools, the Business Community, and the Region.
