OBU Marketing Assistance – Free Micro-Internships to Area Organizations (Fall Semester)

Jeremy DavidsonMailchimp, Marketing, Oklahoma Baptist University

The purpose of this message is to let you know that Oklahoma Baptist University students will be offering free marketing assistance to area organizations again in the Fall.  Daryl D. Green serves as the Dickinson Chair/Associate Professor at Oklahoma Baptist University in the Dickinson College of Business. In 2016, he retired from the federal government as a senior engineering manager to make a difference.

Dr. Green would like to thank Tim Burg, Stacy Moore, Lori Hagans, Jeff Madison, and Dr. Cragin for assisting with the identification of organizations in the area.

For several years, Daryl D. Green has worked with local organizations where students provide business consulting during the semester.

To date, they have achieved results for their clients.  Their business partners have been diverse (i.e. non-profits, new start-ups, African-Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans).

For the marketing majors, Daryl D. Green is piloting a program in the class called a ‘micro internship,’ where students work with an organization over 6-10 weeks, giving students practical experience.

Here’s a micro internship program overview:

In the Fall, Daryl D. Green will expand the micro internship to more of his business classes.

With the current economic crisis, today’s organizations need to understand how to navigate the digital economy. These OBU students can help!

In the Fall, Daryl D. Green will have ten slots available for organizations, on a first-come, first-served basis.  Daryl D. Green is also available to assist any organization with operational challenges, including strategic planning, and social media marketing.

If you are interested in these student micro internships or have any questions, please contact Daryl D. Green at daryl.green@okbu.edu or (865) 719-7239.
