Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Gordon Cooper Technology Center is a public career and technology education center located in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the intersection of Interstate 40 and State Highway 18. It is part of the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education system.
Job Summary:
Assisting with mechanical & maintenance repairs on multiple campuses. Keeping machines, mechanical equipment, campus grounds, and structure of the school in good repair. Will include basic plumbing, electrical, & HVAC duties. Bus driving as needed for the benefit of the district. Will assist the Director of Operations, Maintenance Coordinator, and Fleet and Grounds Supervisor as needed.
Prioritizes and completes all essential functions, efficiently, accurately, and timely.
Education & Experience:
Two or more years of experience in the maintenance field is required
Plumbing, electrical, HVAC experience preferred
Bus driver’s endorsement or ability to obtain within six months of hire required
Three years of successful commercial or school bus driver experience preferred
