Job Title: Sales Associate
Located in the heart of downtown Shawnee, SCI is a nonprofit who provides housing, vocational training, and occupational opportunities to over fifty individuals with developmental disabilities. Through the sale of over 65,000 products and community partnerships we create jobs and dignify differences to promote support and inclusion for individuals and families! We are looking for caring individuals to join our team!
Duties and Responsibilities:
1\. Make contact with assigned prospective leads
2\. Educate customers on current promotions and new products and mission of SCI
3\. Set up site visits to develop strong relationships with customers
4\. Maintain customer follow up procedures to ensure that relationships are retained.
5\. Take customer leads and turn them into site visits and closed sales
6\. Maintain a pipeline of targeted leads from existing customers
7\. Expand business with existing customers through upsell and cross-sell techniques
8\. Attend weekly Sales Team Meetings
9\. Represent SCI at various community events, trade shows, etc
Requirements:
1\. An Associates degree or high school diploma or equivalent
2\. Retail Sales experience
3\. A Professional Appearance
4\. Maintain and positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced work
environment
5\. The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Goals and Expectations:
1\. Make new prospect contacts every week in person, actual conversations with mission
shared, attempting to book site visits
2\. Execute new customer site visits every week
a. Work with inside sales to get all data in DDI and quote sent in timely fashion
3\. Communicate prospect information and site visit information clearly and effectively to
inside sales team
4\. Focus on 2 existing customers a week to expand purchasing through upsell/cross sell,
introduce back end sales staff
5\. Close new customers so that they are purchasing with purpose
