The Shawnee Home Builders Association is a dedicated network of local professionals committed to promoting quality construction, responsible development, and a strong housing industry in Shawnee and the surrounding region. As an advocate for homebuilders, contractors, suppliers, and related trades, the association works to support its members through education, networking opportunities, and community engagement.
My name is Greg Sebastian, and I currently serve as the President of the Shawnee Home Builders Association (SHBA). I’ve been involved in this industry for many years, and I’m passionate about supporting local builders and the future of home construction in our community.
Our mission is to raise awareness about the excellent homebuilders we have right here in Shawnee and to highlight the quality homes being built in our area.
Our membership includes a wide range of professionals from the construction industry—builders, vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers. We’re a group of everyday people working to make a positive impact on our industry and our community.
We host regular meetings that often include guest speakers who share insights from the industry. These gatherings are a great way to stay informed about trends, events, and changes at both the local and state levels.
SHBA provides a platform for builders, subcontractors, and suppliers to connect, learn from one another, and better understand each other’s methods. While we may build differently, we all share the same goal: to deliver quality homes.
In short—jobs. The home building industry supports economic growth and helps drive workforce development in Shawnee and Pottawatomie County.
We foster a network of experienced professionals who share their knowledge with newer members. This kind of mentorship helps raise the bar for quality, professionalism, and ethical practices in the industry.
Working with partners like Shawnee Forward strengthens our ties within the community and creates more opportunities for growth. These partnerships help raise our visibility and contribute to the overall well-being of our region.
Look for experience, quality of work, and reputation in the community. Communication is also essential—it’s important to build a strong relationship with your builder.
It’s easy. Talk to a current member and fill out a short application. Once submitted, the application is reviewed by our board. We welcome new members who are committed to building a stronger industry and community.
The local market is strong and shows promise for continued growth in the coming years. There’s a lot of opportunity on the horizon for builders and homeowners alike.
We’d love for more people to get involved. If you’re passionate about building quality homes and investing in the future of our community, SHBA is a great place to connect, learn, and make a difference.

Greg Brown has spent almost 30 years building in the Shawnee area. After college, Greg and Christine lived and worked in Oklahoma City and eventually moved to Tennessee, where Greg worked in the building business. In the late 1980s, Greg moved his young family back to Oklahoma to go into business with his father, Tom Brown. Together, they developed Windmill Ridge Addition with over 250 single-family homes. Greg is currently developing Wyndemere, his latest addition in Shawnee. We build with pride and precision craftsmanship, blending timeless design, highly functional floor plans, and the latest lifestyle amenities to provide you with an exceptional living environment. This family pride is evident during each step of construction. We enjoy long-term industry relationships with leading designers, suppliers and loyal contractors that have been strengthened over the years by our focus on product and business ethics. These relationships are vital to the success of every one of our homes and additions. Since buying a home is probably the largest financial commitment that you will ever make, your choice of a homebuilder is very important.
